There are as many ways to get a movie made in Hollywood as there are ideas for movies. But most films, by and large, follow a similar series of steps.
Note: These stages are not mutually exclusive. Rarely (if ever) do they break down as clearly as I am trying to delineate them herein. There is a lot of overlap and they may not necessarily occur in this order, if at all. Many of them might even take place simultaneously. This is just a general overview.
